billowing clouds build
looks like a no nonsense storm . . .
wrapped in a dreamscape

no nonsense

funny how often beauty and danger go hand-in-hand in the natural world…
That is so true. Long years ago, I made a series of wall sculptures. A woman saw them, and remarked, “They look like beautiful monsters.”
My art has always been based heavily on nature, and of course, my art was reflecting your observation here.
The imagery reminds me of when I lived in the midwest…the power of the storms was so evident by just the appearance of the clouds…another excellent verse.
So true. I’ve moved away from this area several times, and now I’m back, for many years now. Every time I moved away, after some time passed, I would start missing the weather of spring and summer.
Even though it can sometimes get a little tense, I still missed the drama and power of it all, and the beauty of the clouds, etc.
this is such a gentle imagery for such a powerful thing, i really like the contrast.
I’m glad to receive your comments, because I wasn’t entirely sure about this haiku. I like it but was thinking it might not be well received.
