soft dawn light glows pink
a new day begins gently…
after the fierce winds
day begins gently – haiku

I really enjoy this haiku; it reminds me of the sunset I witnessed out of my 3rd-floor window a few days ago — one of the most beautiful I’ve ever witnessed. The color pink has such a special quality to it when it’s in the context of dawn or dusk. Magical.
Hello, Tyler. Welcome to the blog. Glad you liked this one. I barely got it written, actually – just enough time before work this am to get one done, and this was it. I looked outside at just the right time to see the pink light of dawn. And as you said, it was magical.
Hmmmm…. you might be onto something here. I changed the word, faint. I think it’s better now. Thanks, Yousei.
This is good, really. Certain words I tend to shy away from. No good reason for it. Soft and gentle words are on that list. You know, it’s probably an artifact of male macho stuff, really.
I like this too. I wonder if there is a way to further hint at the gentleness in the first line besides “faint”?
